What happens on the course?
On the course we sing songs requested by the participants, together and in turns, guided by the teacher.
Relaxed use of the voice
We learn a natural, relaxed way of singing that carries you through a longer song too.
Singing into a microphone
We practise singing into a microphone with a PA – just like at a real gig.
Harmonies together
We sing together and learn harmony parts.
Songs you choose
The songs are picked from the participants’ requests.
Group recording
On the last evening, we record the songs we have practised together.

The course is taught by Sara Suvela, Master of Music.
FAQ
Good to know
Is previous experience needed?
No. The course suits you even if you have never sung in a group, a choir or into a microphone – and it suits experienced singers just as well.
Do I need to read music?
Not at all! We learn the songs together by singing and by ear – the joy of singing is what matters most.
Which language is the course in?
We teach in Finnish, English and German.
How is the course paid for?
The course fee is paid before the course starts. We will send you the payment details once your place is confirmed.
What if something comes up?
Please let us know as soon as possible at info@roihupellonbandikoulu.fi so we can offer the place to the next person. Cancellation is free of charge up to one week before the course starts. After that we charge half of the course fee – unless you fall ill: if you let us know before the course starts, we refund the full course fee, less a 15 € administration charge. We don’t want anyone to come along ill. If the place can be filled from the waiting list, cancellation is always free. We cannot refund sessions that are missed.
If we have to cancel the course, we refund the full fee.
